Arai Astral Aluminum Grey Motorcycle Helmet

The Arai Astral in Aluminum Grey is a plain metallic grey with no graphic, a darker, cooler tone than the Aluminum Silver, laid over the Astral's organic shell. The model's defining molded lines running front to back along the lower shell are visible in profile, along with the I/C-2 and DDL-2 upper vents and the slim SAJ faceshield side pods. The Arai logo sits on the brow, with the DOT and Snell certification marks at the rear. Brand new and never worn (vintage new old stock), this helmet comes exactly as received, fully preserved in its original packaging with all included accessories.

The Astral is Arai's mid-range full-face of the early 2000s, built on a cLc (Complex Laminate Construction) shell with a felt reinforcement layer between two Super Fiber laminates, hand-formed to Arai's organic shell shape. It uses Arai's tool-free SAJ/AdSis shield system with a super scratch-resistant shield, an I/C and DDL top intake and rear exhaust vent set, a dual-pivot chin vent, and Arai's multiple-density foam comfort liner with removable cheek pads. This is the same shell family that became the Astral-X. Intermediate Oval fit, DOT and Snell M2000-era certified — verify against the interior label — made in Japan. Note: that certification has been superseded by newer Snell standards; this helmet carries the standard current at the time it was built.
