The Arai RX-Q in Thunder Black is a graphic scheme built on a black base, with the Thunder pattern running across the shell in tonal blacks and greys so it reads as texture and movement rather than colour contrast. The RX-Q's street-tuned architecture stays visible through it: the DDL-4 rear exhaust, the shaped side exhaust cowls and the wide eye port. The Arai logo sits on the brow, with the DOT and Snell certification marks at the rear. Brand new and never worn (vintage new old stock), this helmet comes exactly as received, fully preserved in its original packaging with all included accessories.
The RX-Q was Arai's Intermediate Oval street flagship of the Q generation, positioned by Arai as the ultimate street helmet. It uses the ScLC (Super Complex Laminate Construction) shell, Super AdSis LRS shield system with DeMistLok, IC Duct intakes with top-mounted diffusers, DDL-4 rear exhausts, and side cowl vents tuned for real-world street speeds. The brow vent airflow is ducted across the temples and out through the side cowls, and the eye port is 5mm wider on each side than the previous generation. Inside are FCS cheek pads with 5mm peel-away layers and emergency-release tabs, a fully removable, washable liner in optional sizes, and a Free Flow System lower exhaust. DOT and Snell M2010 certified, made in Japan. Note: Snell M2010 has been superseded by newer Snell standards; this helmet carries the certification current at the time it was built.

- More aerodynamic upper & side exhaust vent cowling shaped to enhance stability while improving exhaust efficiency for street use
- Brow-vent channeling ventilation ducts airflow across the temples/ears and out through the side cowls to improve comfort
- 2-In / 2-Out upper vent layout with updated vent designs for improved performance without adding more holes
- Neck-roll exhaust channels add an additional outlet for stale interior air
Shield System & Visibility
- Wider eye port adds 5mm per side for increased peripheral vision and situational awareness
- SAI face shield is 5mm longer on both sides, paired with the wider eye port for expanded field of view
